Terms & Conditions

1. Quotations & Bookings

1.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued.
1.2 Quotations are based on the information you provide. Additional charges may apply if the job details differ (e.g., extra items, access difficulties, waiting time).
1.3 Bookings are confirmed once we receive a deposit (where applicable) or written/email confirmation.
1.4 All quotations exclude customs duties, parking permits, tolls, ferry charges, or third-party fees unless stated.

2. Cancellations & Postponements

2.1 Cancellations made 7 days or more before the service date: no fee.
2.2 Cancellations made less than 7 days but more than 48 hours: subject to a 30% cancellation fee.
2.3 Cancellations within 48 hours of the service date: subject to a full service charge.
2.4 Postponements are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.

3. Payments

3.1 A deposit may be required to secure your booking.
3.2 Payment methods: bank transfer, debit/credit card, or cash.
3.3 Full payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.4 Late payments may incur interest and recovery costs.

4. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring parking arrangements and permits are in place.

  • Providing accurate information about access (stairs, lifts, restricted entry, long walks, etc.).

  • Ensuring items are ready for collection unless we are providing packing services.

  • Emptying appliances, defrosting fridges/freezers, and disconnecting gas/electrical fittings before collection.

  • Ensuring children and pets are kept away during moving operations.

5. Our Responsibilities

We will:

  • Provide a professional, trained team for your move.

  • Handle your belongings with reasonable care and skill.

  • Use appropriate equipment and vehicles to complete the job safely.

  • Deliver your items within the agreed timeframe, subject to conditions beyond our control (traffic, weather, accidents, etc.).

6. Insurance & Liability

6.1 We provide basic goods-in-transit insurance.
6.2 Additional insurance cover can be arranged upon request.
6.3 We are not liable for:

  • Items packed by you (unless visibly damaged by us).

  • Pre-existing damage, defects, or wear and tear.

  • Perishable, hazardous, or prohibited goods.

  • Delays caused by traffic, weather, or circumstances beyond our control.
    6.4 Liability for lost or damaged goods is limited to the value declared by you or a maximum of £40 per item, unless additional insurance is purchased.

7. Storage Services

7.1 Storage is charged weekly/monthly, payable in advance.
7.2 You must not store perishable, flammable, illegal, or dangerous goods.
7.3 Access to storage requires at least 24 hours’ notice and may be subject to an access fee.
7.4 Non-payment of storage fees may result in goods being withheld or sold to recover costs.

8. Delays & Waiting Time

8.1 Waiting time beyond the agreed schedule may incur extra charges.
8.2 We are not liable for delays caused by:

  • Road closures, traffic, weather conditions.

  • Delays in obtaining keys or access to properties.

9. Complaints & Claims

9.1 Any complaint or claim must be made in writing within 7 days of the service.
9.2 Claims for damaged goods must include photographic evidence.
9.3 We aim to resolve all complaints fairly and promptly.

10. Exclusions

We will not carry or store:

  • Hazardous, explosive, or illegal items.

  • Cash, jewellery, watches, or high-value documents unless agreed in writing.

  • Animals, plants, or perishable items.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of [United Kingdom]. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts.
